Whether you’re looking for the local hotspot to impress a date or looking for delicious grub after the bars have close on Court Ave., Fong’s is the place to be. It’s a pizza joint, Asian restaurant and tiki bar all rolled into one. They are open seven days a week, with an open bar until 2 AM and serve pizza slices till 3 AM. They’re happy hour deals are as pocket-friendly as their food prices.

If you’re looking for a lively time, the first room is a tight bar and dining area with oriental lights and music. If you’re looking for a more low-key or intimate atmosphere, there is a connecting room away from all the bustle. And if you’re looking for Drake, come on Tuesday nights. They have dedicated that night to Drake students with evening deals just for us! Remember to bring your ID.

For their menu, they have appetizers from pizza rolls to Italian salad to Chinese ribs. Or you can pre-game your meal with one of their unique tropic alcoholic drinks in their crazy special-ordered mugs. But if you are looking for really unique dining, you absolutely must try their pizzas. There is the “Loaded Potato” – garlic butter, potato, taco meat, jalapenos, onions, bacon, and of course, like any potato, topped with sour cream and green onion. Or if you can’t decided between Chinese or pizza, get the “Crab Rangoon” – a crab rangooon base, surimi, green onion, asiago and mozzarella with egg roll strips and chili sauce. Then there is the very special “Iowan”- BBQ and house sauce, Canadian bacon, Graziano sausage, bacon, pork, mozzarella and, like any true Iowan product, corn. There are plenty more deliciously bizarre combinations, but if none fit your liking, they have the “create your own.” You can pile on four different sauces, 12 kinds of meats, three kinds of cheeses and extras from taco chips to carrots to honey.
